From Empathy to Interface: My Unique Journey into UX Design
I began my early career in the funeral service industry and worked there over the course of ten years, where empathy and attention to detail weren’t just appreciated—they were essential. I then worked in a variety of customer service roles that taught me how to stay calm under pressure, find solutions to issues quickly, and always keep the end user in mind.
Like many people, the pandemic shifted my trajectory; I came across UX/UI design, and it immediately clicked. I immersed myself in a Google UX Design Certificate, learning everything from user research to prototyping and accessibility.
Now, I bring a unique perspective to design: one rooted in real-world empathy, service, and adaptability. I’m passionate about creating experiences that empower people, especially those often marginalized.
Looking to collaborate, grow, and keep designing things that truly make a difference.
